Our client is the second-largest membership-only warehouse retailer in the US. They had multiple larger apps at the time Jayway by Devoteam initiated the work on the Scan & Go app. Due to the increasing complexity of their existing apps it was decided that the Scan & Go app should be developed and released as a separate product.
The new app was developed on a cleaner and more efficient architecture to ensure a well performing product and efficient development of further functionality which Jayway played a key role in defining. The app was released with the first customers Scanning & Going in less than 6 month. Due to the size of the client the app was quickly downloaded by millions of users and became a business critical digital touchpoint. The Scan & Go app breaks barriers between the digital and physical business and is an important source of data on customer behaviour and preferences.

How we worked together.
Together with the client Jayway by Devoteam demonstrated what a small team of highly competent people, working on a strong architecture and in close collaboration can achieve in a short amount of time. The project was executed in a global setup led by the Silicon Valley studio with all Jayway-developers working from our Malmö and Copenhagen studios.
